TEAM AVON
OUR PROJECT TEAM, PARTNERS AND WIDER COLLABORATORS
It is only through a strong grassroots tapestry of collective action that we will avert the converging social, economic and ecological challenges that are increasingly prevalent and reaching unexpected tipping points in society. We Are Avon aims to build on the work of bioregional and land-based movements such as La Via Campesina, Tamar Grow Local and Bristol Food Producers in order to model and enact the transformations required of us in this time. Our partnership aims to bring together key players and perspectives into this bioregional work, to combine the pragmatic with the visionary and the reflectors with the actors, so that real change can happen.

Deep Collaboration
with People, with Nature
We Are Avon is made up of 4 spheres of practitioners and food system actors:
The project team will comprise of individuals from an inclusive hiring process facilitated by the partners, to recruit a project lead and 3 project branch co-ordinators who have the skills, experience and drive to make this happen.
Leaders from the four core partner organisations (Middle Ground Growers, Bath City Farm, Landworkers Alliance and Urban Agriculture Consortium) will make up an advisory board that will be rooted in the mission and values of We Are Avon, to ensure it is kept on track and driven forwards in appropriate and effective ways.
This circle in turn is nested within the landworkers and communities of the Avon bioregion, and a wider social ecology of stakleholders, beneficiaries and project supporters. The latter includes a wide range of organisations such as B&NES council, Transition Towns and West of England Combined Authority, who have pledged support.
